HErZ has been endorsed by the Scientific Steering Committee (SSC) of the World Weather Research Programme (WWRP) of the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) as a partner network of WWRP.

The goals of HErZ align in particular with the activities of the Polar Coupled Analysis and Prediction for Services (PCAPS) and that of the Sub-seasonal Applications for Agriculture and Environment (SAGE) projects. The goals of HErZ also relate to most of the working groups of WWRP.

This endorsement will:

• raise the visibility of HErZ in the international research community
• enhance networking and communication between HErZ and the WWRP community
• provide an international framework for the HErZ research and activities.

The HErZ community is looking forward to further connecting with the WWRP community!
