This module is dedicated to get an insight into current research topics in energy meteorology.
The module consists of three parts:
- It starts with some introductory lectures on Energy meteorology during the second half of the semester.
- The main part consists of an excursion to Northern Germany (Oldenburg and region) with the visit of several institutions, companies and facilities related to renewable energies and applications.
- The third part contains a written scientific report about a topic related to meteorological aspects of solar and wind energy applications.
The lectures will be held in a hybrid mode in Cologne and via zoom. Dates will be confirmed at a later stage. The excursion will take place from 28 August to 1 September 2023. Each participant will have to prepare a short presentation about his/her report topic. The presentations will be given to the whole group in late September 2023 (date TBD).
